Dragonfly Notepad Holder

Just a little something I whipped up yesterday.

My girls and I were supposed to get together to create these but time ran out as usual so I will just show the one that I completed before hand. Between picking Kaye up at the airport, getting lunch and having to get home for a visit with her Dad, we ran out of time to scrap. Then , the rest of the weekend was taken up with  visits to other friends, a trip to the flight museum for Dad and back to the airport to send Kaye back home to Austin. Maybe next time. We always say that and then life gets in the way!

Okay, so it's not really like I didn't do anything in May. I just forgot to take pictures of the things I did do. I have a real bad habit of that. I get things crafted then plan on taking pictures and end up giving them out before I have snapped the pictures. So, today, I finished my father-in-laws Father's Day card and got a copy before it went into the envelope.

Okay, don't know where my mojo is but it seems to have left the building AGAIN!
When I have my granddaughter here, I can think of all kinds of things I would like to do (craftwise, that is)but don't have the time. Then, when I don't have her or anything else that I must do, I proceed to clean out closets etc. Why? Because I can't get head wrapped around only one thing at a time. I have my daughter's birthday coming up and there is also Mother's Day and I can't get my head wrapped around ANYTHING. Oh, well, this sure isn't getting me there. Guess I will go surf the net for more ideas. Maybe next time I will have something to share...

These are the Easter baskets and some cards that I have been working on.

An anniversary card for my daughter, Jeannette and her husband, Jerrod! May they have many more! Another of Paulo's designs.

This is the card I created for my grandson, Blayne's birthday! He informed me the other day when he stayed overnight with us that he loves trains so I found an image of Thomas the Train and preceded to make a cut file. Not the greatest but for a first try, I don't think it turned out half bad!

Okay, my first try with vinyl! I bought these plates on the clearance aisle at Wally World! They only had two left when I finally decided what I wanted to do with them so I will have to figure out something else for the oldest daughter! The cross is from a design by Paulo. And, the butterflies, I believe, are from Penny's design. Actually, I made Kaye, my oldest daughter, a glass block light with a cutout of Chococat on it for her birthday but I forgot to take a picture (which I often forget to do)before giving it to her. Maybe she will read this and send me a picture to include here.

Wow! Long time since I posted last!

But, I did get the desktop calendars done! Well, two of them anyway! Life just seems to keep getting in the way of my crafting! Or, at least, my blogging about it!

A New Year!!!

Sure hope it's better than the last one. Not that there was that much wrong with the old one. Just looking for better things ahead. I do hope to keep up with this blog a little better than I have with others in the past. Resolutions? No, just promises to myself to do better with the life I was given. We all get off-track at times and this past year seems like I stayed off the track more than on it. Hopefully this will change.
We had a wonderful Christmas, except that my oldest daughter was not with us. Her year for the inlaws Christmas. It was made better by the fact that none of us worried over a BIG dinner. We just got together with a small smorgasbord of snacks and it was so much simpler that way. No one was hid out in the kitchen working while everyone else was visiting.

Okay, so this was supposed to be a blog for my Stamping Up business. Well. that didn't work out. So---we are on to bigger and better things I hope. I have been busy making cards and other crafts. I will be posting pictures of my many crafty things as the days go by.
The card above was one from the Martha Stewart collection pack that I upgraded a little by putting a different background and adding the "tis the Season" ribbon on. The Jingle bells were cut from the Joys of the Season cartridge from Cricut. Not very original, but my first try.
